The Community Theatre of Greensboro was founded in 1949 and is the oldest Arts organization in Guilford County. Their mission is to bring ‘our diverse community together to learn about, experience, and celebrate the joys of theatre.’
Shores started cleaning costumes for the Community Theatre of Greensboro many ago after they reached out to our owner for advice on how to clean their Wizard of Oz costumes. How might one go about cleaning a lion or a tin man costume? After all, you wouldn’t want to put a lion’s head in a dry-cleaning machine, so much of our work includes spot cleaning mascot style uniforms, custom cleaning other specialty costumes, minor repairs and trim removal, and storage.
For us, it’s not just about cleaning the costumes, it’s about being a part of a Triad tradition; helping a place continue to share excitement, experiences, and memories for all – whether as stars, staff, or spectators. We love being a part of the Community Theatre of Greensboro, and we look forward to caring for their costumes for many years to come.
